Owners Shawn Tietjen and Dan Marett opened MnT Performance June 1st, 2019 after many years of friendship. Their goal was to offer a state of the art auto repair facility and independent car dealership..Both partners have a passion for performance cars and trucks so their shop was designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers to browse among the vehicles offered for sale as well as view the work being performed in the climate controlled shop. The spacious facility includes a 3,000SF showroom, 9,000SF repair shop and a secure storage lot. Visitors are welcome to stop by anytime for a tour. 

Shawn started in the automotive industry in the early 1990’s after previously working on his personal cars. He has worked at a factory car dealership as well as becoming a low voltage engineer.  He opened BnT Performance over fifteen years ago specializing in Dyno tuning and performance modifications. Shawn is well known for his custom tuning expertize. 

Dan has over 45 years in the retail business. He and his wife have always had a passion for performance cars and were among Shawn’s first customers at his original shop. They quickly became friends after Shawn built Dan’s GT500 for drag racing. Many weekends were spent racing throughout the Southeast, including a couple of Pinks All Out events. After retiring in 2017, Dan and Shawn started developing a plan for becoming partners and taking the business to the next level. Many months were spent planning and building out their new location at 3301 Kitty Hawk Rd. culminating with a June 2019 grand opening. Along with the new name, they have installed 8 new two post lifts, 1 four post lift with dyno and hired additional master technicians. They offer a wide variety of automotive services as shown throughout this site.
